The process of turning

To create a bowl, I need to cut a bowl blank from a log.  The blank is attached to my lathe and spun while I use various chisels to shape the inside and outside of the bowl.  After the bowl is turned, it is coated with wax and put in my kiln to dry for 6 weeks.  The kiln is an old refrigerator that has a light bulb inside for a heat source.  After the bowl has been dried, it is sanded out.  Finish is applied and then the completed bowl is waxed.
